Bella SCHÜTZ
The revelation of the French piano
Born in Paris in 2002, the Franco-Austrian pianist Bella Schütz is currently pursuing her Master's studies at the University of the Arts in Vienna in the class of Jan Jiracek von Arnim. She also benefits from the advice of Cédric Tiberghien as part of the Jaroussky Academy -Promotion Brahms-.
She obtained her Diploma in Musical Studies at the age of fifteen at the CRR in Paris, where she then studied for two years with Yves Henry before joining Jacques Rouvier's class at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg.
Supported by the Safran Foundation and the Accademia Chigiana, Bella Schütz has won awards in various international competitions such as Piano Campus, the Lyon Piano Competition, Young Talents in Normandy and the Claude Bonneton Competition.
Bella Schütz benefits from the advice of Tatiana Zelikman, Lilya Zilberstein, Jay Gottlieb and she has followed masterclasses with Claire Désert, Michel Béroff and Matti Raekallio. She has performed under the direction of conductors such as José Luis Castillo, Jean-Luc Tingaud, Daniele Gatti in concert programs by Beethoven, Prokofiev, Schumann and Rachmaninov.
Bella Schütz regularly performs at prestigious festivals such as the Nohant Chopin Festival, the Auvers-sur-Oise Festival, the Piano Campus festival, the Epau Festival, the International Chigiana Festival, the Automne Musical de Taverny , as well as within Parisian seasons such as Jeunes Talents and Prima la Musica in Vincennes. She is also a regular guest on the Générations France Musique show.
In chamber music, Bella Schütz has formed the Callas Trio since 2021 with violinist Arieta Liatsi (Greece) and cellist Lucas Garcia Muramoto (Brazil/Japan).
Winners of the FNAPEC competition and the Kiejstut Bacewicz chamber music competition in Lodz (Poland), they together toured Japan in 2023, during which they created a work by the Brazilian composer André Mehmari dedicated to them.
